Create a daily log

Capture jobsite activity day by day — set the date, write what happened, and attach photos, all tied to the project.

A daily log is a quick record of what happened on site on a given day — a date, a description, and any photos you snap. Each log belongs to a Project, so the whole timeline of a project is one click away.

Create a log from anywhere

Daily Logs shows every log across all your Projects.

  1. Open Daily Logs from the sidebar.
  2. Click New log in the top right.
  3. Pick the Project the log belongs to (required).
  4. Set the Date — it defaults to today.
  5. Write a Description in the notes box: what happened on site today.
  6. Drag photos onto the Attachments area, or click it to choose files.
  7. Click Create log.

Note

Photos upload only after you click Create log, so you can stage or remove them first. If you close the modal before creating, nothing is saved.

Create a log inside a Project

If you're already in a Project, you can log against it without picking the Project again.

  1. Open the Project, then go to its Daily Logs tab.
  2. Click New log.
  3. Set the Date, write the Description, and add Attachments.
  4. Click Create log.

Edit or delete a log

  1. From Daily Logs (or the Project's Daily Logs tab), click a row to open it.
  2. Change the date, description, or attachments as needed.
  3. Click Save to keep your changes, or Delete (bottom left) to remove the log.

Note

Deleting a log leaves its photos in place — they stay in the Project's Files tab, under the Daily Logs folder.

Don’t see this?

Only the team member who created a log can edit or delete it. Open someone else's log and you'll see it read-only. The New log button appears only when your role can write daily logs.
