Per-project tasks
Use a project's Tasks tab to keep its to-dos in one place — new tasks created here attach to that project and are visible to its team.
Every project has its own Tasks tab. It works exactly like your org-wide board, but it's filtered to one project — and anything you create here automatically belongs to that project and is visible to its team.
Open a project's Tasks tab
- From the sidebar, open Projects and choose a project.
- Click the Tasks tab.
Don’t see this?
Add a task to the project
- Click Add task.
- Fill in the title, due date, assignees, and any other detail.
- Click Create Task.
The task is pinned to this project, so it shows up here and on the org-wide Tasks board, where the project name is labeled on each card.
Work the board
The board and List view behave the same as on the org-wide board: drag cards between columns to change status, tick a row to complete it, and edit a card's columns from the toolbar. See Create and assign tasks for the full walkthrough.
Link a task to a schedule Item (optional)
A task can point at a single Item on the project's Schedule — handy for tracking the loose ends around a scheduled piece of work.
- Open the task.
- Under Schedule item, pick the Item you want to associate it with.
- The helper text confirms which project and Item the task will live on.
Note
Attach files to a project task
When a task belongs to a project, you can attach files to it from inside the task window. (Personal tasks with no project don't have a place to store files.)
Make a project task personal
Open the task and, next to Schedule item, click Make personal to detach it from the project. It then becomes a personal task visible only to you and its assignees, and it leaves the project's Tasks tab.
