Per-project to-dos
Use a project's To-Dos tab to keep its to-dos in one place — new to-dos created here attach to that project and are visible to its team.
Every project has its own To-Dos tab. It works exactly like your org-wide board, but it's filtered to one project — and anything you create here automatically belongs to that project and is visible to its team.
Open a project's To-Dos tab
- From the sidebar, open Projects and choose a project.
- Click the To-Dos tab.
Don’t see this?
Add a to-do to the project
- Click Add to-do.
- Fill in the To-Do name, Due date, Assignee, and any other detail.
- Click Create To-Do.
The to-do is pinned to this project, so it shows up here and on the org-wide To-Dos board, where the project name is labeled on each card.
Work the board
The board and List view behave the same as on the org-wide board: drag cards between columns to change status, tick a row in the list to complete it, and edit a column from the actions menu in its header. The status columns are shared org-wide, so they're the same ones you see on the To-Dos board. See Create and assign to-dos for the full walkthrough.
Link a to-do to a schedule Task (optional)
A to-do can point at a single Task on the project's Schedule — handy for tracking the loose ends around a scheduled piece of work.
- Open the to-do.
- Under Schedule task, pick the Task you want to associate it with. The list holds this project's Schedule Tasks.
- Linked Tasks show on the card here, in the bottom row next to the assignee — on the org-wide board that spot carries the project name instead.
Note
Attach files to a project to-do
When a to-do belongs to a project, you can attach files to it from inside the to-do window. (Personal to-dos with no project don't have a place to store files.)
Make a project to-do personal
Open the to-do and, next to Schedule task, click Make personal to detach it from the project. It then becomes a personal to-do visible only to you and its assignees, and it leaves the project's To-Dos tab.
