Budget version history
Every save snapshots the budget — step backward and forward through your changes with Undo and Redo.
Every time you save the budget, Foreman snapshots it. That history means a change you regret is never permanent — you can step back to where you were and forward again.
How snapshots are captured
You don't create snapshots manually. Each time you click Save and your buffered changes commit, that becomes a point in the budget's history. The newest save is always what you see on the sheet.
Undo and redo a change
- Open the budget (Projects → a project → the Budget tab).
- In the toolbar, click Undo to step back to the snapshot before your most recent change.
- Click Redo to re-apply a change you just undid.
Note
Undo restores the previous saved snapshot — it's a step through the budget's saved history, not just a reversal of the last keystroke. Redo is available right after an undo, so you can move back and forth freely.
If both Undo and Redo are greyed out, there's no earlier or later snapshot to move to.
Don’t see this?
Undo and Redo appear only when your role can edit the budget. If you don't see them, ask your organization owner for budget editing access.
