Manual time entry & approval
Log hours after the fact, attribute them to a budget item, and approve entries before they reach project costing.
Not every shift goes through the live clock. When someone worked offline or you're catching up on a timesheet, log the hours by hand. Every entry starts Pending and only reaches the budget once it's Approved.
Log time manually
- From the sidebar, click Time.
- Click Create time entry.
- Choose a Project, or No project — overhead / admin for office time.
- (Optional) Pick an Item — the budget line this time counts against. The field appears once a project is chosen.
- Set the Date and Hours worked.
- (Optional) Add a Note.
- Click Log time.

Attribute time to a budget item
The Item field ties the hours to a specific budget line, so labor lands against the right cost. Leave it as Uncategorized if you're not sure — you can reopen the entry and set it later. Overhead and admin entries (no project) have no item, since there's no budget to count against.
Approve an entry
Approval is the gate that lets hours and labor cost roll into the budget.
- On the Time list, click the entry you want to approve.
- In the editor, set the Status field to Approved.
- Click Save. Nothing is written until you do — closing the editor without saving leaves the entry Pending.
The entry's status pill turns green (Approved), and its hours and cost flow into project costing.

Review pending entries
- Click Filters in the toolbar.
- Set Status to Pending to see everything still waiting on approval. The same panel narrows by Team member and Date range.
Open each one, set its Status to Approved, and click Save to clear the queue. Set an approved entry back to Pending the same way if you need to pull it out of the budget.
