The project dashboard

See a project at a glance — its site and weather, financials, activity feed, and who has access — all on one tab.

The Dashboard tab pulls together the job site, the money, recent activity, and who can see the project. Projects open on the first tab your role can access, normally Dashboard.

Open the dashboard

  1. From the sidebar, click Projects.
  2. Open a project.
  3. Choose the Dashboard tab if it isn't already selected. The other tabs along the top — Budget, Records, Schedule, and the rest — are the project's features, subject to your role's access.

The site map and weather

Top left is the job site: an interactive map pinned to the project's address, with current conditions and a 7-day forecast underneath — high and low for each day, and the chance of rain on any day it's likely. The card appears once the project has an address with coordinates, which the Edit Project form sets when you pick the address from the suggestions.

Financials

Below the map, the Financials card summarizes the money. On a fixed-price project that's Approved Price, Collected, Receivable, Cost to Complete, Profit, and Projected Margin; on a cost-plus project it leads with Cost to Date and Committed, adds Cost to Complete, Projected Price, Invoiced, and Collected, and ends with Fee and Margin — where the fee is the profit projected against the agreement, so it moves as real costs come in rather than sitting at what you estimated.

Financials are internal-only — clients and vendors never see them, and members without budget access won't see the Financials card.

Edit the project

Hover the site card and click the pencil in the map's top-right corner to open the Edit Project form — client, address, status, price type, and custom fields. The project's name is edited in place: click it in the header and type.

The activity feed

The center Activity card is a running, time-grouped log of everything that happens on the project — records sent, payments received, files uploaded, schedule changes, members added, daily logs, and budget edits. Each entry shows who did it and when, grouped under Today, Yesterday, and earlier dates.

Project access

For internal members, the Project Access card on the right lists everyone on the project, grouped into Internal, Clients, and Vendors.

  1. To add someone, type into the Add people... field and pick a contact — or create a new contact inline.
  2. To remove someone, hover their row and click the remove button.
  3. Use the row's phone and email icons to reach out directly.

Adding and removing members appears only if your role can edit the project. The View as (eye) action — which previews the project exactly as that member sees it — appears only for members who can manage the team.
