What you can ask the assistant
Ready-to-use examples for budgets, records, scheduling, and contacts — speak naturally, no exact field names needed.
The assistant takes real actions across most of Foreman. Type any of these in the message box and press Send — you can phrase them however you like.
Budgets & estimating
- "Start a budget for the Maple St remodel with sections for demo, framing, electrical, and finishes."
- "Add a line for 40 hours of labor at $65 and set the margin to 20%."
- "Increase the markup on every material line by 5%."
- "What's my current profit on this project?"
Records — proposals, change orders, invoices
- "Turn this budget into a proposal for the homeowner."
- "Create a change order for the added bathroom and commit it to the budget."
- "Draft an invoice for the deposit."
Schedule
- "Lay out a schedule with framing after demo and a three-day inspection hold."
- "Push everything after drywall back a week."
Contacts
- "Add Coastal Electric as a vendor and note them as our preferred electrician."
- "Which clients have I done kitchen jobs for?"
Tips for better results
- Name the project when it matters, so the assistant works in the right place.
- Iterate — follow up with "make the intro shorter" or "split that into two line items."
- Review before you send. Drafts are instant; sending to a client is your decision.
Note
If you ask for something your role can't do, the assistant won't have that ability — it stays within your permissions.
