Folders
Organize files with nested folders — create, rename, and nest them, and understand the locked system folders Foreman manages for you.
Folders keep your files organized. You can nest them as deep as you like, and Foreman keeps a few folders managed for you automatically.
Create a folder
- Open Files and navigate to where you want the new folder.
- Click New Folder.
- A folder named New Folder appears ready to rename — type a name and press Enter.
Nest folders
To create a folder inside another, open the parent folder first (click its row), then click New Folder. The new folder is created inside the one you're viewing. The breadcrumb at the top shows where you are.
Rename a folder
- Click the folder's name.
- Edit the text and press Enter. Press Escape to cancel.
Locked system folders
Some folders are created and maintained by Foreman — for example the Records and Daily Logs folders that hold files attached elsewhere in the app. These show a lock icon and are read-only: you can't rename, move, or delete them, and you can't upload directly into them.
Note
Files land in system folders automatically when you attach them to a record or a daily log. To move a file out, manage it from the record or log it came from.
