Add a client
Create a client contact in Foreman so you can attach them to projects, proposals, and invoices.
Clients are the people you're building for. Add them once and they're available to attach to projects, proposals, and invoices.
Open your contacts
- From the sidebar, click Contacts.
- You'll see your contact list — name, stage, last activity, value, email, and phone.
Don’t see this?
If you don't see Contacts in the sidebar, your role may not have access to contacts. Ask your organization owner to grant it.
Add the client
- Click Add Contact in the top-right.
- Enter the client's Name (required).
- Leave Type set to Client.
- Add their Email, Phone, and Company if you have them.
- Click Add Contact to save.
Note
New contacts start at the Lead stage. You can move them along the lifecycle later by opening the contact and changing Stage — see Lead lifecycle stages.
Add more detail (optional)
While the modal is open you can also set:
- Prefers — how they like to be reached (Phone, Email, or Text).
- Referred by — where the lead came from.
- Tags — type a label and press Enter to group similar contacts.
- Address and Notes.
Edit a client later
- Click any row in the contact list to reopen it.
- Update any field, then click Save.
