Billing & seats

Start your subscription, add or remove seats, and manage payment — one plan, billed by seat.

Foreman is one plan, billed by the number of seats your team needs — no feature tiers. A seat is a spot for a member of your team; clients and vendors access their portals for free.

Open billing

  1. From the sidebar, click Organization.
  2. Click the Billing tab.

The Subscription section shows your status — Free Trial (with days left), Active, Canceling, Past Due, or Canceled.

Don’t see this?

If you don't see the Billing tab, your role may not have access to billing — it's usually limited to the organization owner. Ask them to make changes or grant you access.

Start your subscription

  1. On the Billing tab, click Subscribe.
  2. Enter your payment details (processed securely through Stripe).

Note

New organizations start on a free trial, so you can set up and send before subscribing.

Add or remove seats

  1. In the Seats section, check Total and Available.
  2. Click Add or remove seats and set the number you need.

Note

Available turns red when it hits 0 — add a seat before inviting another teammate. Clients and vendors never use a seat.

Manage payment & invoices

Click Manage billing to open the Stripe portal, where you can update your payment method, download invoices, and review your plan. If a payment fails, you'll see Update payment method here instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do clients or vendors need a paid seat?

No. Seats are only for members of your own team — clients and vendors use their portals for free.

Is there more than one plan?

No. Foreman has a single plan with the full feature set; you only choose how many seats you need.
