ForemanFOREMAN

Welcome to Foreman

How Foreman is organized and the fastest way to get your first project running.

Foreman is built on one idea: your projects and contacts are the foundation, and every feature plugs in on top of them.

Where things live

From the sidebar on the left:

  • Projects — every budget, record, schedule, and file belongs to a project.
  • Contacts — clients, vendors, and subs; one contact can play different roles across projects.
  • Records — everything you send: proposals, contracts, change orders, requests, invoices, and vendor orders & bills.
  • Schedule, Time, Tasks, Daily Logs, Files — the day-to-day of running a project.
  • Catalog — your reusable library of cost items and assemblies.

Get going in three steps

  1. Set up your company. Add your branding and company info so everything you send looks like you (see the other articles in this section).
  2. Add a client and create a project. Open Projects and create your first one — it comes with a starter budget.
  3. Build the budget, then send it. Fill out the budget and turn it into a proposal you can send for signature.

Note

Prefer to describe what you want instead of clicking through it? Foreman's built-in AI Assistant can create projects, budgets, and proposals on your real data — see the AI Assistant section.
